In the News: The Evolution of iSound Entertainment

In 2008, Justin Henshaw, a Marine Corps veteran and Glynn Academy graduate, returned home from combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. While attending the College of Coastal Georgia, he launched Island Sound, the first of many ventures that would reshape wedding entertainment in the Southeast.
The Brunswick News published a great article highlighting the evolution of iSound Entertainment and our journey from a local DJ service to a nationally expanding brand. It covers how we started as Island Sound, our rapid growth, and why we made the move to franchising—creating opportunities for others to own and operate their own iSound territories.
The piece also dives into our expanded services, from DJ/MC entertainment to lighting, photo booths, live musicians, and wedding coordination. It’s exciting to see our story shared, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to talk about where we’ve been and where we’re going.
